Director’s Approach

I’m drawn to stories that invite audiences into acts of dramatic imagination that feels immediate, theatrical, alive, and shared. Whether I’m directing a new play, a literary adaptation, an immersive experience, or a comedy, I’m interested in creating events that balance clarity of storytelling with a sense of surprise and play.

I strive to build rehearsal rooms rooted in rigor, curiosity, generosity, and collaboration, where artists feel empowered to take risks in pursuit of authentic work. I’m especially energized by projects that challenge form, embrace theatricality, or uncover humor and humanity in unexpected places.

Across disciplines (including theatre, audio storytelling, immersive work, and comedy) I return again and again to the same guiding principle: compelling storytelling should feel both specific and deeply human. I believe audiences respond most strongly when a production trusts their imagination and invites them into active participation with the event unfolding before them.

Ultimately, I create work that’s emotionally immediate, visually inventive, and unapologetically theatrical.
