Directorial Approach

I’m drawn to stories that invite audiences into acts of imagination—work that feels immediate, theatrical, alive, and shared. Whether I’m directing a new play, a literary adaptation, an immersive experience, or a comedy, I’m interested in creating productions that balance clarity of storytelling with a sense of surprise, danger, and play.

My process begins with the actor. I strive to build rehearsal rooms rooted in rigor, curiosity, generosity, and collaboration, where artists feel empowered to take risks in pursuit of truthful, dynamic work. I’m especially energized by projects that ask audiences to lean forward: stories that challenge form, embrace theatricality, or uncover humor and humanity in unexpected places.

Across disciplines—including theatre, audio storytelling, immersive work, and comedy—I return again and again to the same guiding principle: compelling storytelling should feel both precise and deeply human. I believe audiences respond most strongly when a production trusts their imagination and invites them into active participation with the event unfolding before them.

Ultimately, I’m interested in creating work that is emotionally immediate, visually inventive, and unapologetically theatrical.
