A “Made in Atlanta” festival spotlights new work built to tour beyond the city.
ATLANTA, Ga. (ATL Live) - Theatrical Outfit is presenting LAUNCHPAD 2.0: A “MADE IN ATLANTA” FESTIVAL, a summer lineup featuring four fully staged world premiere productions running in rep, along with additional development events. The festival includes more than 30 Atlanta-based artists working across the productions and workshops, with shows designed to be portable and adaptable for future runs beyond Atlanta.
Matt Torney, Artistic Director of Theatrical Outfit, and Ryan Vo, playwright and performer of Queen (of the American Nail Salon), talked with ATL Live host Savannah Louie about how the festival format works for audiences and what makes this new-work model unique.
