September. The Suzi Bass Awards, Atlanta's annual theatre awards, has announced its nominees for the 2017-2018 season. Corey was involved with two shows nominated for major awards:

Candide at Alliance Theatre was nominated for four Suzis including OUTSTANDING PRODUCTION--MUSICAL

Perfect Arrangement at Theatrical Outfit was nominated for three Suzis including OUTSTANDING PRODUCTION--PLAY and OUTSTANDING ACTING ENSEMBLE--PLAY

September. Submitting production concept for Charles Gonoud's Romeo et Juliette as Project Lead (director) for Opera America's Robert L. B. Tobin Director-Designer Showcase. Design team: Beca Lake (Scenic), Jacquelyn Loy (Costume), Mateo Morris (Lighting).

September. Received commission for Murder! at The Strand II: Dark Matters, and interactive inter-dimensional murder mystery.

August-October. Enrolled in "Improv for Actors" and "Directing Sketch Comedy" classes at The Second City (Chicago).

August. Directing "The Baphomet Contessa" by Jack von Albade in iO Chicago's 24 Hour PlayFest.

June. Published article "Seven Lessons Learned from Creating an Immersive Theatrical Whodunit" for Howlround.com.  Explores some of what went into the creative process of creating 2018's Murder! at The Strand.

June. Stage Managing FSOP conference with Coca-Cola Corporate.

May/June. Performing as Theseus/Oberon in A Midsummer Night's Dream (Rick Lombardo, dir.) with Shakespeare Kennesaw's inaugural season.

May/June. Directing remount production of Murder! at The Strand: the Encore, an 'immersive theatrical whodunit' from the Earl & Rachel Smith Strand Theatre in Marietta, GA.

May. Producing & directing workshop + staged reading of Daniel Glenn's But all the other boys are going to the public execution, a new play. Produced in part through an IDEA Capital grant.

April-May. Directing observer for Bernstein's Candide, a co-production between Alliance Theatre & Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (Susan Booth, Director; Robert Spano, Music Director).
