director’s note

In our comedy noir, a washed-up Detective searches for the Governor’s missing daughter Honor. After the recent passing of our artistic mentor, we were inspired to follow our passion and create a stellar debut short film that honors film noir and brings representation to a genre lacking diversity.

Our 12-minute debut short film is a comedy noir straight outta 2024, with the smooth style of 1938.

In our story: down-on-his-luck Detective Gil T. Hunter arrives at an urban hideaway in search of the Governor's daughter, Honor. But meeting the Governor's ex-wife Maxine Moxxi was more than he counted on, especially once she starts spilling the Governor's beans.

This project used all of my producing and creative skills: from writing and directing, to building budgets and schedules; I led the team of producers from an idea phase through post-production.
